As a true OG in the cannabis game, Quality Meet has seen the industry transform from the beginning stages started by individuals with basement grows to the tightly regulated multi-billion dollar industry it is today. Colorado has set the standard for marijuana regulation in our country. Many states look to us for guidance. It is up to all of the industry participants to be good stewards of our licenses in order to drive the cannabis industry forward. Compliance, transparency and communication are key. Future progress depends on us. Much like the cannabis plants we grow, the cannabis movement is a living organism. We will continue to nurture the roots of this organism in order to not only survive, but THRIVE, in a turbulent and ever changing environment.

Why QC Blends?
Established in 2009, our roots sprouted in a conference room in downtown Colorado Springs. Despite cannabis being federally illegal, the Attorney General of the United States at the time released a memo indicating the Justice Department would not focus federal resources prosecuting individuals who were in clear and unambiguous compliance with their state medical marijuana laws. Equipped with this new memo and a copy of Amendment 20, the founders of Pure consulted with an attorney. While we cannot remember the attorney’s exact words, they were something along the lines of “sure… I think I can keep you out of prison.” That was all the reassurances these cannabis pioneers needed to get started. The first focus was cultivation. The founders established a network of caregivers to cultivate cannabis for sale to patients. Once a solid supply chain was established, we opened up our first dispensary in December of 2009 and our second location in January of 2010.

BELIEVING IN THE
Grind it out. Stay on the grind. But most of all, embrace the grind. Stop and smell the flowers (especially the Carnival flowers. They smell like skittles). Between the nuances of farming in the unpredictable Colorado climate (snow in September anyone?) and the ever-changing regulations impacting the stores and grow, this cannabis gig is not for the faint of heart. We have had more than our fair share of longs days fading into sleepless nights. We have faced many challenges that at the time seemed impossible to overcome. However, like the cannabis plant itself, we have adapted and evolved in order to thrive in a variety of environments. Our roots (and backbones) are strong so we can keep on grinding…to continue to provide you with something to grind up.
